Daily ramblings


Hot again. I didn’t bring a hat with me to German class, because there are many shades along the way, but when in the sun I regret not having my hat with me. Luckily it was also windy and it appeased the sense of feeling like a cupcake being cooked. We have so much homework to do until Wednesday... I continue to sleep very poorly and it’s getting harder to get out of bed. Tomorrow is swim day and I don’t know what’s going to happened.
My contract hasn’t been signed and I’m panicking because the old house needs to be sold to be able to buy the new one and the real estate agent seems to be procrastinating the subject. The contract was supposed to have been signed last Friday. I texted him showing our concern for the possibility that the buyer might change his mind and withdraw the offer on the house. If that happens, we’re left in a very bad situation, or has some might call it “screwed”.
Now I have to go to the supermarket, but first we shall take our coffee downstairs. I’m also going to take a look around the Sephora shop at the Alegro shopping centre, where the supermarket is, see if they have any Pixi by Petra products. I do believe the range they sell here is very, very small. Oh! Mustn’t forget to check the prices. There is always the possibility of ordering from their UK site but the shipping cost are a bit pricy. I will have to do the math then.



Was it obvious that I wouldn’t return empty handed? In true honesty, I was counting on it. But there it was: a kit with 3 FULL SIZE products for an affordable price. After doing the math on a couple of sites, including the brand one, though not considering the shipping in this case, it’s the same as “buy 2 get a third and most expensive one free”. When taking into account the good deal, then adding “THE LAST KIT” and on top of that “SOLD OUT everywhere”, my willpower decided to go for a walk. I really didn’t want to spend more money, right now… but here’s what’s inside:

Also bought a couple of Anti-pollution sheet masks half price by the brand Simple. I love their masks.

Funny thing that happened when arriving home and undressing myself: burgundy coloured sweat stains on my white blouse!!! I’ve been using the same Jason deodorant for over 3 months, it’s weird and a bit scary, but then, I suddenly realized what it was: my rucksack, more precisely the straps that are in contact with the fabric have a black ridge and stained the blouse. I blame the heat, because sweat is necessary.
I suppose now it’s time to focus on the German homework. I want everything done today so that tomorrow I have time for my late afternoon Yoga.

ISDIN Fusion Water SPF 50+ Review and thoughts

Definitely my favourite sunscreen to date. I’ve tried an array of products over the years and this is the 2 nd that left a very good impression. The first one, by the way, was The Body Shop’s sunscreen for the body that existed over 15 years ago, when I was still a teenager. The reason: after my usual beach period in the summer, not forgetting I was a stupid teenager that didn’t care about the sun that much, I was the exact same colour as before. Sunscreen talk

The more you read, the more you research, the more confused you get. That’s how I feel, anyway. Sunscreen is such a complicated science , I think it should be a subject on it’s own available to everybody at school, from a very early age. There are, and will always be, different opinions and for those of us that didn’t go to medical school, it becomes a very big problem. Are they stable, are they safe, are we applying the right amount of product, are we cancelling out SPfs by using other products or even spreading it properly all over the exposed areas, or applying it frequently enough? After many reading and video watching, both always bearing doctor’s opinions, my only conclusion is that most of us are doing it wrong and will continue to do so. Pixi Order arrival and daily ramblings 23th May 2019

I received my order from LookFantastic, that I paid with my own money, yesterday! Two Pixi products: Glow Mud Cleanser and the H2O Skin Drink . Of course I used the cleanser yesterday, instead of the Innisfree one. It was a complete different, and still is, experience for me: it doesn’t foam. For me it’s something new, don’t’judge! I’ve always used foam cleansers, without the harsh foaming ingredient SLS, but they still foam up. This does not and it will take some time for me to get used to that fact, it feels as if it’s not doing the job properly. Yet, I used it again this morning and evening. And the glow tonic after. Although while applying the tonic it did sting a bit, it’s been almost an hour and no more stinging or itchiness came about, like the other three times. I’m happy! Next it’s the Caudalie Vino Perfect Serum. However, yesterday night, after cleansing my face, I noticed a small red spot close my nose, on my right cheek.
