Avène TriAcnéal Expert and rambling
Sehr warm heute!
I’m starting to think that
some of the red spots that have been appearing lately have more to do with
allergies and stress. When I’m too stressed, I tend to get allergic reactions. They
are itchy and don’t feel like regular pimples. I’ve been doing the usual:
v Avène TriAcnéal Expert – 3 nights a week: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
v Pixi Glow Tonic – 4 nights a week: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and
Sundays
v Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser has been used every single day and night, for over a
week
v Pixi Peel&Polish - two mornings: Tuesday and Saturday
Of course sunscreen is
used daily. I haven’t noticed anything different yet, except for the occasional
red spots that have yet to be understood. But again, the stress and lack of good
sleep, could be one of the causes. I’m really curious to try the Retinol Tonic,
though, and see what it can do. In the meantime, I’ve grown accustomed to “no
lather” Mud cleanser and quite like it since it leaves the skin feeling very
soft.
The retinol tonic would supposedly
replace the TriAcnéal Expert, but this Avène
product works really well and contains: Diolènyl, an anti-bacterial and
anti-inflammatory effect; X-Pressin, that helps with residual acne marks (DEFINITELY WORKS, I can vouch for that!); and
Retinaldehyde, derivative from Vitamin A that also contains some anti-ageing
properties (this particular benefit, however, didn’t work on me). Everything else
the product says it does, it really does! It also contains, of course, Glycolic
acid. The Retinal is at the far end of the ingredients list, hence the reason
this emulsion is mild, in comparison to other products. The problem for me
still stands in terms of anti-aging properties: it just doesn’t work, meaning
there might be a need for something stronger. I just don’t know if it would be
safe to use the Retinol Tonic before this Avène product to increase its effectiveness
in terms of anti-aging.
I feel like I’m going to
fall asleep anytime now, so that means it’s bed time.
Bis bald
