Sunscreen Talk part 2

Slept well tonight, but I’m still feeling very tired and sleepy throughout the day. The good news is, that two of the red spots are gone and the one on my left cheek below my eye is almost gone as well, practically unnoticeable. This means the red spots aren’t related with the Pixi Glow Tonic. Yesterday I was really attentive on everything happening to my skin after the washing. I removed my make up with the Nuxe oil and then used the Innisfree Green Tea foam as a second cleanse. And then came the Pixi Glow Tonic. While applying it, there is a very slight tingly feeling to it, nothing that would scare me though. Right after applying the Glow Tonic, my skin felt SOOOOO smooth and on that note, for 30 minutes nothing else was added to my skin, but I felt a sting here and there. At this point apprehension started to invade me. Yet, I decided to use a Simple Anti-Polution Sheet Mask to help hydrate the skin. It calmed my skin and there was no adverse reaction, although the Aloe Vera sheet mask could have worked better, since it is a calming mask.

Upon waking up, everything was fine and my fear went away. Now it was time to do the tea spoon experiment again, only this time with a different sunscreen. It truly is a lot of product! I used only half a tea spoon and spread all over my neck and ears as well to try and used the whole amount. Instead of applying everything at once, I applied twice, letting the first layer dry for a few minutes. No make up after, just a bit of powder against the shine. The interesting point is: the Avène Mineral Fluid is, as the name states, very fluid, yet feel extremely heavy on the skin, while the Caudalie Sunscreen is thicker, but feels very light! Even when applying a lot. The difference is astonishing. My conclusion is that I prefer the Caudalie one. Both have a shiny finish, but neither states it’s oil-free. The Avène leaves the face with a white cast, whereas the Caudalie doesn’t and, again, feels a lot lighter.

From early evening, I’ve been experiencing a few stings here and there again. That means no Glow Tonic today, my skin will take a rest this Sunday, since on every other night of the week, it was busy with either retinol or glycolic acid.

We went to Cascais today and started packing. It’s going to take a while, but we’ve come to the conclusion it won’t be the end of the world. The day was quite cloudy, though. It was very cool and windy and all I wanted to do, especially being so sleepy, was stay at home.

À bientôt le monde
