Weekend ramblings
A hot summer day, even
though it’s still spring! Most people aren’t complaining and neither shall I. It’s
windy, which makes it perfect for washing clothes and hanging them outside to
dry.
Did not get a good night
sleep again and I don’t know for how can I keep this up without collapsing. German
class is tomorrow so it should be interesting. Wonder how “good” the homework
is.
Grandmother doesn’t seem
to be angry with me any longer and today she went out with us in the morning and
again after lunch, to the café just around the corner, in our building. I had
ice-cream, we all had ice-cream and yes, now I do regret that… but it’s done. It’s
not a weight problem, it’s the ridiculous amount of
sugar that is soooo bad for our health in general. At least she’s is a
good mood.
Yesterday I decided to do
an experiment, still trying to use up the bio and natural products that hadn’t
been properly explored. It comes in a pack, they’re not sold separately, at
least around here. It’s a treatment to even out the skin tone and smooth out rough
skin, by French bio brand Cattier. The kit
contains an exfoliating gel with garnet powder
and jojoba grains and a moisturizing radiance mask
to be applied after washing the face with the scrub. Both are appropriate for
all skin types, according to the brand. First of all I used the Nuxe cleansing
oil and instead of using the foam cleanser next, I used the gel. SO HARSH ON MY SKIN! It hurt. I was careful, but even with
a gentle massage, it felt as if more than just dead skin was removed. So I tried
the very, very creamy and appeasing So Etic Bio Aloe foam cleanser, after
removing the exfoliating gel and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Since it
is a moisturizing mask I used after all that washing and let it rest for the recommended
10 minutes. Then, the excess should be either worked into the skin by gentle
massage, or removed with micellar water. I used the Eau
Thermale d’Avène to wet a cotton pad and removed the mask. 20 or so minutes
later, I applied the Caudalie Vinoperfect serum
and the Nuxellence eye cream.
My skin felt really soft
and moisturized, but the exfoliating gel is no longer part of my arsenal. Next exfoliating
geleé will be the Nuxe one. At the pharmacy, the lady said the Nuxe geleé from
their Rose range is very gently and not abrasive. I’ve been in love with the
cleansing oil for a year now and the only one I have ever used for years, so
far, was the Etude House one. For me, the Nuxe oil is on par with the Etude
House oil.
On another note, reality has
just hit us regarding our move to another house, in Cascais. We have to START PACKING EVERYTHING. When you have a full
house like my grandparents, that almost looks like a museum (not talking about “the
Louvre”, but anyone understands what I mean), the whole process might (and most
certainly will) turn into a nightmare. And then there is clutter, even great museums
have a few clutter! I’m not the most positive person, I do panic VERY easily and
before time. And maybe that’s one of the reasons why sleep has been evading me…
Of course this is always a good time to sort things out and perhaps donate things
one doesn’t need any more and I already have a few things in mind.
I didn’t go for my power
today, in the morning, and now it’s just too hot, so today it will be yoga for
about an hour. Really need to stretch my entire body, it’s going to feel so
nice!
Bis bald!
