Jowaé Concentré Jeunesse Anti-taches Review

Understanding why I left behind the Jowaé Concentré Jeunesse Anti-Taches/Jowaé Youth Concentrate Complexion Correcting with Lumiphenols.

I was super excited when walking past a pharmacy I saw a strange name that sounded very Korean. I stopped and glared at the beautiful and simple packaging of the products and as soon as I got home, my search began. It didn’t take much to convince myself, that I had to at least try one of the products, being a fanatic of the Korean cosmetics. The advantage of this brand was that I could purchase it anytime, without having to wait over a month for the products to arrive. They are also quite affordable, so I bought 2.

The packaging is very simple and the box explains everything through numbers and pictures, on the inside. Easy enough for anybody to understand how and when to use it. It comes in a pump dispenser and that can be good or bad, since you can’t really pop it open or squeeze the content out. And it’s not a sheer packaging so I imagine it’s not too easy to find out when it’s going to be all gone.

One pump wasn’t enough for my face and neck. I would always use one a and half, otherwise my skin would feel dry. The fragrance didn’t agree with me, I’m avoiding the word hate, because it was very sweet, it actually reminded me of sugar coated candies. But that didn’t stopped me from using it every morning for about two weeks. It did leave my face soft, but I also used their anti-aging light cream on top, because even for my combination skin it wasn’t enough, especially in winter. Dry or very dry skin would need a richer formula or a apply a very rich cream on top.

Very easy to blend and of course it absorbs quickly, so for oily skin types this might be enough. However, after those two weeks I started getting a rash on my right cheek, really close to my nose. I didn’t make to much of it at first, but then for some reason, I decided I should stop the new products and return to the old ones to see what would happen. And the rash started to disappear very, very slowly. It took over a week for the rash to almost disappear. I still have a tiny bit left over. Either it was a very big coincidence or my skin said no to those two products.

It’s a shame, I was really looking forward to using this brand, but had to return to my Nuxe routine, that is also coming to it’s end and will be replaced, very carefully and one by one.

In conclusion:
v  the brand explains things very well and contains 30ml
v  not the most moisturizing serum, so maybe not good for dry or very dry skin
v  very sweet fragrance while applying, disappears after
v  spreads well and absorbs quickly leaving no greasy feeling
v  oily skin will probably love it
v  I can’t say anything about it’s claims of reducing dark spots, since two weeks aren’t enough.
v  I don’t believe I will be buying anything from this brand any time soon. Again, I’m still not sure the rash had anything to do with the products, but…
