Conclusions about Natural skincare
No, things aren’t
going that well!
I was so excited to try
out all natural and good products, but it seems my skin doesn’t really like
them. Or my nose. I do blame my skin, because my mind was set on doing the right
thing for myself and the environment. Unfortunately sheer willpower doesn’t
control how your skin reacts to the products, how it feels when you apply them,
nor can it control when the fragrance is so strong that you might faint. No matter
how many times you wash your hands.
I have tried a few
different ones, amounting to a very ridiculous percentage of existing products,
I understand that, but since in my case I need to order most of them online and
there is no way for me to try them out before buying a full size product,
meaning it´s a waste of money and product. I have no one to give them to,
afterwards. Most ones were not moisturizing at all,
many had very strong scents that made feel nauseous and some others were very
drying. I know it takes time to adjust a new skincare routine, but for me personally, it was becoming to expensive and wasteful.
There is nothing I hate more than to throw away an almost intact product, even
when it hurts my skin!
So that means I returned
to my pharmacy products., which had to be bought anew… slowly, since money
doesn’t grow on trees. I got the Caudalie
Vinoperfect serum, that brings a 25ml sunscreen SPF 50 as a gift. They have
a new formula that doesn’t hut people or the ocean. Let’s just wait and see
what it does to my dark spots and uneven skin tone. Does moisturize, my skin, well enough. The Avène
Triacnèal has also made a comeback into my routine, three days a week.
It’s already a bit late and
I want to wake up early tomorrow for my power walk downtown, so describing my
new routine will be done on another day, but everything is written down on my
paper diary. Practicing the “passive”, it’s what we’re studying in German.
